Why can’t I view videos from my Arlo Video Doorbell on my smart home device?

Some smart home devices—such as Amazon Alexa Show or Google Nest Hub—can’t support Arlo Video Doorbell’s full resolution of 1536x1536. This means that video clips and live streams from your Arlo Video Doorbell won’t display on your smart home device. If you encounter this error, lower the video resolution on your Arlo Video Doorbell.

To change the resolution of your Arlo Video Doorbell:

  1. Launch the Arlo app or log in to my.arlo.com.
  2. Tap or click Settings > My Devices.
  3. Select your Arlo Video Doorbell.
Alternatively, tap or click the Settings icon for your Arlo Video Doorbell in the Devices screen.
  4. Tap or click Video Settings > Video Quality.
  5. Tap or click 1080x1080 or 720x720.

If your video from your Arlo Video Doorbell still does not display on your smart home device, visit Arlo Support to speak with an expert.
