How do I trigger the floodlight on my Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera?

You can manually trigger your floodlight or set it to trigger automatically when motion is detected, audio is detected, or when a device cross-triggers the floodlight.

Manual trigger

You can manually activate the floodlight on your Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera by tapping or clicking the on/off switch in the Arlo app.

To manually turn the floodlight on or off for your Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera:

  1. Launch the Arlo app or log in to my.arlo.com.
    The Devices page displays.
  2. Tap or click the On/Off switch on the device card to turn on or off your floodlight.

Note: If you do not manually turn off the floodlight, it will stay on for 1 to 20 minutes. To change the amount of time that the floodlight stays on, visit How do I adjust the light settings on my Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera?.
  3. To increase or decrease the floodlight brightness, tap or click and drag the slider to the right or left.

A countdown timer appears next to the light switch when the light is turned on. When the timer ends, the light turns off.
