While using SmartThings, I receive push notifications but no videos are recorded; what do I do?

When Arlo is in SmartThings mode, push notifications need to be sent from Arlo to the SmartThings system to alert SmartThings when motion is detected. SmartThings rules and automations then determine if the Arlo camera needs to create a recording.


To stop receiving push notifications on your mobile device while keeping SmartThings functionality, do one of the following:

  • Go to your mobile device's notification settings menu and disable or mute notifications for the Arlo app. 
  • Log out of the Arlo app on your mobile device.
