When I scan the QR code on the label of my Arlo Bridge or Arlo Security Light, my Arlo app cannot read it; what do I do?

If your Arlo app isn’t reading the QR code located on your Arlo Bridge or Arlo Security Light, try the following:

  • If you tried the setup process using a tablet, try using a smartphone.
  • Scan the QR code in a different location with brighter ambient lighting.
  • Slowly move the phone camera closer to and farther away from the bridge or light QR code to enable the camera to focus better. Some smartphones might not be able to auto-focus.
  • Using a different smartphone or tablet, take a picture of the QR code and enlarge the picture on your screen. Then scan the picture with the device that you are using to set up the bridge or light.
  • If your QR code is scratched, damaged, or unreadable, contact Arlo Support.
