My Arlo camera is connected directly to my WiFi router; how do I connect it to an Arlo SmartHub or base station?

Follow these instructions if your Arlo camera is currently set up and directly connected to a router, and you want to connect the camera to a VMB5000, VMB4540, VMB4500, or VMB4000 SmartHub or base station.

If your Arlo camera is not already set up, review the instructions on the in-package quick start guide.

Before you begin:

  • Make sure that you have a VMB5000, VMB4540, VMB4500, or VMB4000 SmartHub or base station on your Arlo account.
For more information, visit What is the difference between each Arlo SmartHub or base station?.
  • To avoid losing your three-month Arlo Smart trial, make sure that you add your Arlo camera and SmartHub or base station to the account that your Arlo camera was originally connected to.
