How do I set up Arlo Q on Android?
To set up Arlo Q on an Android device:
- Launch the Arlo app or log in to your Arlo account at my.arlo.com.
- Tap the + icon or click Add Device.
- Tap or click Arlo Q.
- Select your connection type.
- Plug in your Arlo Q. When the LED starts blinking amber, tap or click Continue.
- Ensure that your router name (network SSID) appears under Network Name.
Note: If the SSID does not display automatically, the router might not broadcasting its SSID. For more information about connecting to a hidden network, see How do I connect my Arlo Q to a hidden Wi-Fi network?. - Enter the password for your router and tap or click Continue.
- Press and release the Sync button (located on the bottom-right when looking at the front of the camera).
- Tap or click Continue.
The LED begins blinking blue.
An informational page or screen telling you how to scan the QR code with the Arlo Q camera displays. - Place the QR code that displays on your Android device approximately 8 inches from the Arlo Q camera.
When the camera reads the code, it makes a chime sound. - Tap or click Yes to confirm that the camera made a chime sound.
Note: If you do not year a chime sound, tap or click No. You are directed back to Step 6.
After you tap or click Yes, the camera attempts to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Once the Wi-Fi network detects the camera, the camera's serial number and the time zone in which you reside display. - Tap or click Continue.
Your Arlo system set up is complete. You can view your cameras.
