How do I set up cross-triggering between my Arlo cameras and my Arlo Security Lights?

You can create a mode that makes each light or camera perform different actions and send different alerts. A single device can trigger multiple devices to take actions. For example, you can set up your driveway light to trigger your garage camera to start recording video and send you a push notification. Or, you can set up a mode so that your backyard camera turns on your lights to scare away nocturnal animals, but doesn’t send you a notification. Making one device trigger another device to take an action is also called “cross-triggering.”

Note: Cross-triggering currently does not work with Arlo Q, Arlo Q Plus, Arlo Go, or Arlo Baby cameras. All cross-triggering devices must be connected to the same Arlo account.

To set up your Arlo cameras and Arlo Security Lights to trigger each other, you can either create a new custom mode or edit the rules of an existing mode. Scroll to the end of this article to see a video about cross-triggering.
