How do I integrate my Arlo cameras into the Samsung SmartThings app?

To integrate your Arlo cameras in the Samsung SmartThings app, you need to name your Arlo cameras in the Arlo app, disarm your Arlo cameras in the Arlo app, then use the SmartThings app to integrate your cameras with Samsung SmartThings. Each of these steps is explained in detail in the following sections.

Before integrating your cameras with the SmartThings app, make sure that your cameras have easy-to-understand names. If you do not rename your cameras, the camera's serial number becomes the camera's name in the SmartThings app.

To name or rename your cameras:

1. Launch the Arlo app or log in to your Arlo account at my.arlo.com.
2. Tap or click Settings > My Devices.
3. Tap or click the camera that you want to rename.
4. Tap or click the pencil (edit) icon in the upper-right corner.
5. Enter a new name for your camera.
   Note: Camera names are limited to 32 characters.
6. Click or tap Save in the upper-right corner.

When you integrate your Arlo cameras with SmartThings, a new SmartThings mode is created in the Arlo app. Because SmartThings manages your Arlo cameras, they must be in disarmed mode. You cannot use schedule mode or geofencing mode at the same time as SmartThings mode.

To disarm your cameras:

1. Launch the Arlo app or log in to your Arlo account at my.arlo.com.
2. Tap or click Mode.
3. Select the device you want to disarm.
4. Tap or click Disarmed.
5. Tap or click Back.
6. Exit the Arlo app.

Integrating your cameras requires that you have a SmartThings account. If you don't have a SmartThings account, visit SmartThings support to create an account.

To integrate your Arlo Wire-Free cameras into the SmartThings app:

1. Make sure that your cameras are disarmed in the Arlo app.
2. Launch the SmartThings app.
3. Log in to your SmartThings app.
4. Tap Marketplace > Things > Safety and Security.
5. Tap Cameras > Arlo.
6. Tap Arlo (connect).
7. Tap Connect to Arlo.
8. Enter your Arlo login credentials, accept the privacy policy, and tap Done.
9. Tap Connect to Arlo Cameras and select the cameras that you want to integrate with the SmartThings app.
10. Tap Done > Next > Done.
11. Tap My Home > Things.
    Your Arlo camera is in the SmartThings mode in your Arlo app.

Note: Repeat these steps for each Arlo camera that you want to integrate into your SmartThings app.
