How do I safely remove an SD card from my Arlo Go camera?

It's important to safely remove the SD card from your Arlo Go camera. If you remove an SD card while information is being recorded on it, the SD card might become permanently unusable or the files on the card might be corrupted.

If you remove the SD card that is connected to your Arlo Go camera, SD card recording is disabled until you insert another SD card.


To safely remove an SD card from your Arlo Go camera:

  1. Launch the Arlo app or log in to your Arlo account at
  2. Select Settings > My Devices and tap or click the Arlo Go camera into which your SD card is inserted.
  3. Select Local Storage.
  4. Tap or click > next to SD Card.
    Note: If you named your SD card using a computer, the name displays instead.
  5. Tap or click Safely Eject SD Card.
  6. Wait for the Unmounting SD Card progress message to close.
    Do not interrupt power to the camera or remove the SD card while the SD card is being unmounted.
  7. Open the battery compartment and remove the battery so that you can access the SD card slot.
  8. Gently push the SD card back into the camera until it pops out.
  9. Remove the SD card from your Arlo Go camera.
  10. Reinsert the battery and close the battery compartment
