You can use the Arlo Solar Panel in any outdoor location that falls within the solar panel’s operating temperature range of 32° to 113°F (0° to 45°C). For safety reasons, the solar panel cannot charge your camera battery at temperatures below freezing.
The included metal security mount can attach to walls, fences, roofs, gutters, or eaves. The adjustable mount and the 6-foot (1.8 m) weather-resistant Micro USB cable provide a wide range of mounting and positioning options.
The total energy that an Arlo Solar Panel can produce depends on several external factors, including temperature, shade, weather, and the amount of dust or debris on the surface of the solar cells (dust and debris can block solar energy from being absorbed). In some locations, particularly in areas with low average sun exposure or freezing temperatures, the solar panel might not be able to keep your battery fully charged.
