What kind of batteries does my Arlo camera use?

You can only use the batteries that came with your Arlo camera or replacement batteries from Arlo. To purchase new batteries, visit the Arlo Product Accessories page.

Arlo Ultra and Ultra 2; Arlo Pro 3 and Pro 4

The new Arlo Ultra and Pro series cameras uses a 3.85V 4800mAh 18.48Wh rechargeable lithium polymer battery.

Arlo Essential wire-free

The Arlo Essential Spotlight Camera and Arlo Essential Camera use a 3.63V 5100mAh 18.51Wh rechargeable lithium polymer battery. The Arlo Essential XL Spotlight Camera uses an extended length version of the same battery type.

Arlo Pro 2 and Pro

The Arlo Pro 2 and Pro cameras use a 7.2V 2440mAh 17.57Wh rechargeable lithium ion battery. The design and type is different than the Arlo Ultra and Pro 3 batteries.

Arlo Go

The Arlo Go camera uses a 7.2V 3660 mAh 26.35Wh rechargeable lithium ion battery with a higher capacity than the Arlo Pro and Pro 2 cameras.

Arlo Go and Arlo Pro batteries are not interchangeable. Do not attempt to power an Arlo Pro or Arlo Pro 2 camera with an Arlo Go battery. Do not attempt to power an Arlo Go camera with an Arlo Pro battery.

Arlo Wire-Free

The Arlo Wire-Free camera uses four CR123 lithium 3-volt photo batteries. These batteries are available at retail stores and at online stores that specialize in battery sales.

Arlo Wire-Freee cameras are designed for use with the non-rechargeable batteries that they ship with, but we have partnered with Tenergy to offer rechargeable CR123 batteries that are compatible with your Arlo cameras. Tenergy rechargeable batteries can be recharged up to 500 times, and a Tenergy battery charger is available for purchase separately or bundled with a set of batteries.

If you choose to buy Tenergy rechargeable RCR123A batteries from a different source than the one listed below, make sure that you purchase batteries that are marked “Works with Arlo.”
