How do I enable the Arlo Smart person detection feature?

With Arlo Smart, your camera still records videos to your library when other motion is detected, but you receive fewer unwanted notifications.

To enable the Person Detection feature:

  1. Launch the Arlo app or log in to your Arlo account at my.arlo.com.
  2. Tap or click Settings.
  3. Under Arlo Smart, tap or click Smart Notifications.
  4. Select a camera for which you want to receive Arlo Smart notifications.
  5. Tap or click the slider next to People to enable Arlo Smart Person Detection notifications.
    Note: To get notifications only when people are detected, you must disable the Vehicles, Animal, and All Other Motion sliders.
