How do I create a mode for my Arlo Wire-Free camera?

To create a mode for your Arlo Wire-Free camera:

  1. Launch the Arlo app or log in to your Arlo account at my.arlo.com.
  2. Tap or click Mode.
  3. Tap or click the device for which you want to create a mode.
  4. Tap or click Add a Mode.
  5. Enter a name for the mode and tap or click Next.
    The Trigger Device page displays.
  6. Tap or click a device and Next.
    Note: If you have just one device, your device is preselected.
  7. Choose when you would like the camera to activate by selecting When motion is detected and/or When audio is detected.
  8. If you selected When motion is detected, set the Motion Detection Sensitivity using the slider and tap or click Next.
    Note: If you're not sure what sensitivity to use, you can use the motion detection test after you finish creating the mode.
  9. If you selected When audio is detected, set the Audio Detection Sensitivity using the slider and tap or click Next.
  10. Select the device or devices for which you want to create a mode and tap or click Next.
  11. Select Record video or Do nothing and tap or click Next.
  12. If you selected Record video, specify how long you want your device to record when motion is detected and tap or click Next.
  13. Select the notifications that you want to receive and tap or click Next.
  14. If you selected Email Alerts, enter the email addresses that you want to receive alerts and tap or click Next.
  15. Review the summary of your settings and tap or click Save.
    Your new mode is saved. You can now select it from the mode menu.
