How do I create a rule that includes a siren trigger?

To create a rule that includes a siren trigger, you must create a new mode or edit an existing mode. These instructions explain how to edit an existing mode.

Note: Only Arlo Ultra, Pro 3, Pro 2, Pro, or Wire-Free cameras connected to a SmartHub or Base Station with Siren can trigger the siren.

To create a rule that includes a siren trigger:

  1. Launch the Arlo app or log in to your Arlo account at my.arlo.com.
  2. Tap or click Mode.
  3. Tap or click the Arlo SmartHub or Arlo Pro base station for which you would like to add a siren trigger.
  4. Tap the pencil icon or click > next to the mode that you would like to edit.
  5. Under Rules, tap the pencil icon or click Edit next to the device that you want to trigger the siren.
  6. Select the Turn alarm ON check box.
  7. Tap the pencil icon or click > next to Turn alarm ON.
  8. Set the sliders for Alarm Duration and Alarm Loudness.
  9. Tap < Edit Rule or click Back.
  10. Tap Done or click Save.
    Note: This rule is not active until you activate the mode to which you added the siren trigger.
