Before you mount your Arlo Essential Security Camera (3rd Gen) on a wall, make sure you have found a location with strong signal strength.
Note: Do not mount the camera until instructed to do so during the installation process.

- Arlo Essential Security Camera 2K/HD (3rd Gen)
- Arlo Essential XL Security Camera 2K/HD (3rd Gen)
You need the following items to mount your Arlo Essential Security Camera (3rd Gen):
- Power drill with a 15/64-inch (size B, 6mm) drill bit
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Pencil
- The following items that came in the box with your camera:
- Mounting Plate
- Screws
- Wall anchors
To mount your Arlo Essential Security Camera (3rd Gen) on a wall:
- Drill pilot holes for the Mounting Plate.
- Using the Mounting Plate as a guide, mark pilot hole locations with a pencil.
- Drill pilot holes using the pencil marks as a guide.
If you are using wall anchors, drill the pilot holes with a 15/64 (size B, 6mm) drill bit. Then, insert the wall anchors into the pre-drilled holes.
- Secure the Mounting Plate to the wall.
- With the arrow pointing up, align the Mounting Plate with the pre-drilled holes.
- Use the provided screws to secure the Mounting Plate to the wall.
- Slide the Camera onto the Mounting Plate.
- Align the arrow on the Mount with the arrow on the Mounting Plate.
- Slide the Camera onto the Mounting Plate to lock it in place. test to make sure it feels secure.
- Adjust Camera angle.
- Hold the mount while firmly grasping and rotating the camera to achieve the desired angle.
