To charge your Arlo camera, use the included USB cable. Alternatively, you can use the Arlo Dual Charging Station (sold separately), which can recharge two batteries simultaneously.
Battery charging may take a few hours or more, depending on the quality of charger used, and size of the battery. Charge the battery until full. Look for the solid blue light to indicate full charge, or verify in the Arlo Secure App.
Note: The battery in wire-free/outdoor Arlo Essential cameras and Arlo Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) cannot be removed.
The USB charging cable that came in the box with your camera is for indoor use only. You must dismount your camera and bring it indoors to charge it with the included charging cable. Connect the charging cable to a 5V, 2A power adapter to properly charge the camera.
Arlo Essential XL Cameras (2nd Generation) need longer charging time, up to 4x that of the regular Essential Camera (2nd Generation) batteries.
Arlo XL Batteries will need a longer charging time, up to 2.5x that of regular batteries.
Arlo Pro, Arlo Pro 2, and Arlo Go cameras must use the charger that came with the product. For more information, visit: My Arlo Pro or Pro 2 camera battery isn’t charging; what do I do?
