We would like to inform you that our devices are designed to be weatherproof. We take pride in the fact that our devices and chargers' charging connectors have passed the ASTM B117 test, which involves 96 hours of exposure at +35°C and 95% relative humidity with a 5% salt fog solution. However, in extreme weather conditions, particularly in seaside areas, where no electronic devices may withstand these challenges, that can lead to corrosion or rust in exposed areas.
To mitigate potential issues, we advise applying synthetic grease to both the cable connector end and the device itself. This precaution will help ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Here is the info of the synthetic grease tube:
- Buy any brand available in your region
- Instruction: Apply a thin layer of synthetic grease around the cable connector end.

Note: Arlo cameras and doorbells work in a wide variety of weather conditions, including rain and snow, but do NOT allow Arlo batteries or the interior of battery compartments to be exposed to water.

The recommended operating temperature range for most Arlo Cameras and Doorbells is: -4°F to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C). The Arlo Wire-Free Camera (VMC3030) operates at 14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C).
