The sun icon on the Arlo Secure App Device Card indicates if your Arlo Essential Solar Security Camera is receiving sunlight.
- Green indicates that sunlight is being received.
- Gray indicates there is no sunlight present.
You can determine the solar charging state in conjunction with the battery icon. The images below provide some examples of solar charging states.
- In some cases, you may have sunlight but no charging. This typically will be the case in situations where the battery is at or near maximum capacity.
- If solar charging is taking place, you will see the green sun icon and a green battery charging icon.
- If there is no sunlight present and no charging taking place, the sun icon will be gray and the battery icon will be white, yellow, or red, depending on the battery level.
- If there is no sunlight and the camera is charging with a power cable, the sun icon will be gray and the battery icon will be green.
